When Missy and Jesse Kovach set out to renovate their 1990 builder-grade Costa Mesa, California home they looked to trusted friend and colleague Eric Olsen for architectural inspiration. Missy is a fan of rustic interiors, while Jesse leans modern. Having met Eric through Warren Christopher, their family-owned and operated flooring business, Missy and Jesse found common ground in Eric’s industrial style.
KRS Development brought the loft-like, open concept vision to fruition by removing walls and adding bi-fold doors. With clear sight-lines through the first floor, Missy felt strongly that window coverings should be functional yet minimal to create design continuity.
“Shutters, curtains, and blinds were not an option… to keep the space open, shades were the best choice, and I must say, they are one of my favorite things about the remodel!”
